For your fertility journey. It’s time to get fearless, baby, fearlessly fertile. Let’s do this. Welcome to the fearlessly fertile podcast.
Episode 56, the secret to unexpected fertility success. Hey loves, whoo! These are some wild times we are living right now. And I hope this episode finds you and the people you love happy and safe. I was thinking about how I could serve you best while we are all hunkered down doing our best to stave off the zombie apocalypse.
And what came through loud and clear was getting grounded in the basics. When shit’s going crazy, your best move is to stay out of the fray and get back to basics, baby. In this case, the basics aren’t bare knuckle brawling over toilet paper or running around like Chicken Little, allowing media clickbait to dictate our view of the future or our sense of well being.
The basics include thinking critically and tuning in to our inner wisdom. It’s one thing to be informed. It’s another to be inundated. Particularly when you are being inundated with worst case scenarios and supposition based on a situation that seems to be changing by the hour and that the modern wired 24 hour news cycle and social media has not known to this point.
We are in unprecedented times. So, for the next few minutes, we are going to leave the noise behind and get situated in the truth that often goes unspoken in the midst of the cray. My darling woman, you are here on this planet for a reason. The desire in your heart to be a mom is there because it was meant for you.
It doesn’t matter if that has not fully materialized yet. When your intentions are clean, the longing is true. Give yourself permission to sit with this. I mean, really sit with it. Yes, shit is uncertain right now, and that doesn’t change anything about what you know about you. It doesn’t change what’s inside of you.
Staying connected to this truth, what you know in your heart, is what keeps you grounded. Connecting to this truth within you is like an anchor in the storm. This, my darlings, this truth within you is your certainty. This is part of your inner wisdom. Take a second right now, and as long as you’re not driving, operating heavy machinery, or roller skating over banana peels, Close your eyes and put your hands on your heart.
Take a deep belly based breath. That means fill your belly first. Let it hang out. Stretch those spanks. Let your belly get full in a way you don’t usually let people see. Then fill your chest. And breathe out fully through your mouth. Go ahead and do it right now. Breathe in, letting that belly pooch out, then fill your chest and exhale fully through your mouth.
Do it one more time. Do that belly breath. Okay. Remember, let that belly pooch out. Fill it first. Go in now, breathe into your chest
and let it out fully, fully. Exhale that breath. And start to notice the feeling of peace and connection come over you. Breathe in one more time, doing that belly breath. Fill that belly full. Now your chest. And exhale fully, letting it all out. Feel that peace and that connection. With your hands on your chest, just feel your heart beating.
This moment, this is what’s real. This moment is what’s true. And now I want you to just take a second and let yourself imagine holding your baby in your arms. Imagine yourself taking in their sweet baby smell. The smell of promise, the smell of purity, and frankly, if we get down to it, the smell of heaven itself.
This, my darling, is whole truth. This is what it feels like to be in the dream. This is life as you imagine it, and just take another moment here. Breathe in, belly breath, now your chest and exhale that out. Holding the image, notice what it feels like to be in your body right now. Hold this feeling, what you just felt imagining your baby.
The reason why this feels so good, my love, is because it is truth. It is the core of your truth. It feels so fucking different than what is being slung at you by the media, worry warts, and doomsday masochists, doesn’t it? Yes, shit is happening. And what you feel in your body by calling in your truth can coexist.
You choose where you put your attention, baby. What I am inviting you to do for this time that we are wisely engaging in social distancing and taking extra care of ourselves is to stay grounded in your dream. Keep taking the steps you know to take in the direction of it. Yes, that may look a little different for a while, but the dream is still real.
Hitching your wagon to this truth is way more certain and even keel than hitching your wagon to shit that’s changing every 30 minutes. That’s about as idiotic as trying to fly a kite in a hurricane. I believe this is exactly what American poet, essayist, and philosopher Henry David Thoreau meant when he wrote, if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.
The secret to unexpected success is to keep moving in the direction of your dreams and to live life as you imagine it, regardless of what is going on around you. What Thoreau was talking about is basically, you do you, in the face of any bullshit that comes your way. When Thoreau speaks of common hours, what he’s talking about is what people commonly expect, what sheep commonly expect, what people commonly believe is possible.
You and your dreams are not common. How people commonly use hours. Living in fear, living solely by their circumstances, and letting their current situation be the primary determining factor of what they believe is possible, okay? It’s a dreadfully narrow view of the world. It’s a far cry from vision and faith.
It’s all about choosing faith, not fear. Faith, not fear. Faith. Not fear. Every woman that has shared her story on this podcast embodies this principle espoused by Thoreau. She may not have known she was living proof of Thoreau’s wisdom, but she was. Dang. Who knew this episode would be like a throwback to your college English lit class?
The bottom line here, my loves, is despite the cray in the world, advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life you have imagined, and you will meet with success unexpected in common hours. That is the secret. So here’s an exercise to help you take this to the next level.
Here’s three steps I invite you to take. One, ask yourself, are you, even in this time of hunkering down, are you advancing confidently in the direction of your mom dream? Be honest. We’ve got plenty of time on our hands these days, staying in, staying away from people and concerts and all that stuff, stuff that can be distractions from what’s really going on inside.
Use this opportunity to ask yourself this powerful question. Are you advancing confidently in the direction of your mom dream? Be honest and start to map out exactly what that looks like and commit to it. Second, are you presently endeavoring to live the life you imagined? How close is the life you are living today?
Totally. Despite the, you know, the travel bans and all that stuff, but is the life you are living Are you endeavoring to live the life as you imagined? Are you living the life you imagined? How close are you to it? It’s not about beating yourself up or trying to be perfect, but when we get closer to alignment with living the way we have imagined, the closer we get to our dream.
Because the truth is, and I know it’s going to sound woo woo, but hey, you know what? I have helped enough women around the world call in their miracle babies that I don’t really give a shit what anyone thinks. The truth is when you are in alignment, when you are living the way you truly want to live, and when you are living by your values, when you are living by your vision, and when you are living by faith, you can make.
The most seemingly impossible things possible. I see it every day in my practice. We are amidst a fucking baby boom in my fearlessly fertile method program. It is blowing me away. And so I urge you, my loves think about these questions. Think carefully. Are you advancing confidently in the direction of your mom dream?
