Do you ever ask yourself, “Why the hell am I putting myself through this?”
Have you “failed” so many times you feel like giving up?
Been there, felt that.
But here’s the deal, if you are going to give up, be smart about it.
Give up on struggling, not on your desire to be a Mom.
Having lived through 84 “failures” myself, spending $100k, trying every lotion, potion, diet, supplement, folk remedy, scouring Dr. Google for answers until my eyes bled, and making myself absolutely miserable for years, I can say that with authority.
You can be on this journey and NOT struggle.
We create struggle with the meaning we attach to events on this journey.
We create struggle by allowing the past to be the sole predictor our future.
We create struggle by ruthlessly comparing ourselves to other women.
We create struggle by placing more faith in statistics, other people’s opinions, and “shoulds,” than the truth in our hearts.
We create struggle with scarcity-based timelines.
We create struggle when we make our bodies the enemy.
We create struggle by abandoning our feminine power and living this journey like men.
We create struggle with boring judgments about how “it” is supposed to happen.
The struggle ends when you give up on allowing present circumstances to dictate what you believe is possible for you.
DECIDE to transform the way you THINK and what you BELIEVE.
Women who beat the odds do.
My ladies give up.
Giving up on self-doubt, fear, scarcity, lack, and needlessly spiraling in struggle is why, in the face of the most insane odds, they become Mamas.
Decide you will be one of them.
Change your mindset, change your results.
Intrigued? Here’s an exercise to take this to the next level…
Give up on your lame thought patterns, not on being a Mom.
Out your excuses, alibis, and limiting beliefs.
Make a list of the things you tell yourself when you feel like giving up.
Are those things a reflection of the woman you desire to be? Notice the patterns and underlying messages. What they are doing to you?
Don’t wait till your baby gets here to be the woman you know you can be. Do it NOW. It makes you an irresistible magnet to your gorgeous baby.
Permission to be a quitter is granted…but, only when it comes to shit that doesn’t serve you.
Stretch yourself! It’s about progress, not perfection.
Is it time for you to think like and BE a woman who defies the odds on this journey? Let’s talk about working together. xoxo
